DECENT FEATURES of the Exped Chair Kit

Once your mat is in the Chair Kit you can switch from chair to sleeping mat without standing up
Poles and straps can be removed to save weight when only used as a protective cover for your mat
Couple multiple mats using the side buckles
Three different openings in the pole sleeve can be used to insert different kinds of stiffeners like tent or trekking pole segments
Premium materials: Floor is made of Exped's PU coated tentfloor fabric with 10'000 mm water column. Top is of Exped's skin friendly sleeping bag lining fabric. The stiffeners used are DAC SL 9 mm tentpole segments
Insert an EVA mat like the Double Mat Evazote (not included) for added protection on very rough ground
The Chair Kit can be packed in most cases without removing the mat first (just take out the stiffeners)
Chair Kit fits all Exped mats and many other brands as well

"gotta have" 02/27/12

If you're gonna camp, even backpacking, you gotta have this with the exped downmat. It turns the mat into a great chair with very little space and weight. When my friends were sitting on the ground I was sitting in this great chair. Just a couple of clips....it also protects the mat. No down side, it's all great!!! GET IT!

"I'm chillin in the Exped chair." 07/17/11

For car camping and road trips this works great. It protects the mat from stains, dirt, border patrol K9 footprints, etc. Also great if your throwing the mat right on the ground to sleep under the stars. Then presto! Cinch those straps and you have a lounger! Clip the foot section in and its a chair! I sit in it and read at the campsite or inside my tent. It's really great to have a comfy chair with a back rest and it's multifunctional since it utilizes the mat I already have with me to sleep on. It works great with my Exped Comfortfoam mat, Synmat and Airmat. Would work with regular size Big Agnes mats too. Recommended!
