"Great for Anytime" 03/09/12
I recently got my boyfriend this backpack for his birthday. He said he was a fan of the brand so I began looking them up. When I found this one it screamed his name. It is s practical, it can be used for anything and everything. Whether he is camping or going to class he always has it with him. Its durable and comfortable and he and I both would recommend it!
"Great pack for traveling or long daytrips" 01/04/12
I've owned the redwing 44 for a number of years and it has held up great...one might call mine a dinosaur. The zippers are heavy duty, like large teeth, and material very durable. I always carry a water bottle and the mesh carriers have held up great, no tears. The pack expands to fit tons of gear inside, and straps down pretty small. However, if you strap it down too far it can distort the back straps on your shoulders, making it a little uncomfortable. Overall it's a pretty good pack, and even though it's dirty and a little tattered, will last me a few more years. Definitely worth the money.
"Big upgrade to Kelty's go-to workhorse pack!" 02/26/11
I've had a Redwing pack for over 8 years. Swapped it for some sweet Oakley specs... big mistake. Super sweet step-up from my old one. Shoulder pads are better fitting w/ emphasis given in support areas. Hip straps aren't as clumsy and can actually be removed from the torso area so it doesn't look like you're going on a 4-day trailblazer up K2 if you use it as a work bag. Zippers work smoother and the pockets have been redone to work better with the pack as a whole. You can put everything in here except the kitchen sink. Would recommend this to anybody needing a durable, dependable, and workhorse style pack for just about every aspect a pack would be used for.
