"Great for up to Half Day Hikes!" 11/11/11
I have taken this on several camping trips both from the car and remote site. It is relatively large and I have been able to fit the cooking pots plus dishes and utensils, plus a few other odds and ends into it for packing purposes. If you are hiking with a group (I was in a group of 6) everyone else only needs to bring water and everyone's snacks and/or lunch will fit into this pack. Since its range of uses vary so much, I haven't found it necessary to buy any other hydration pack. Only thing is that it can be a bit bulky if you are looking for something that will just hold water and a snack.

I am a dog trainer that ends up in sometimes remote places. Not only is the hydration pack great for me, but I have used it to give my training dogs drinks when water wasn't around. It carries all of my training supplies along with my cell phone, treats for dogs and humans, and extra clothing. I am very tall, and it fits my back great, no shaffing and no uncomfortable pokes. It looks great, I got the green and have had many compliments. I also use it for biking and hiking. Would buy again, and would encourage you to buy this too!

I recently bought this pack from the Moosejaw store in Rochester, MI. Aside from having an awesome experience in the store, the knowledgeable staff got me on the right track with this pack. I am a road cyclist and have had issues staying hydrated with a regular water bottle. I decided to get this pack due to the size of the bladder and the amount of storage space. When full of water (or whatever other beverage you choose) this pack is light and comfortable. The full bladder does not compromise storage space, and the color (I got yellow) is just plain awesome, as a bonus it matches my bike! If you are looking for a simple but very functional pack this is the CamelBak for you!
"very serviceable light day bag for the money." 05/05/11
when i first received this bag i thought it seemed small, but looks are deceiving. it holds everything i need for a light day out,its built tougher than the corduroy pants i had in the 3rd grade,and the straps are wide enough to really load it down without fearing shoulder pain. i guess the best thing i could say about it is, if i left it and one of my children in a burning building id probably at least try to hook it on my way back in/out for the kid
"My festival bag...Aka "The Smuggler"" 04/24/11
I use this bag to hold snacks, water, extra clothes, and personal items when I go to festivals during the summer. Great, comfortable bag with just enough room for my needs. It also has a seperate compartment that holds the bladder which keeps it organized(and easier to hide stuff). I have used it on a couple of day hikes in Mississippi as well and it was the same as at a festival. Hot but comfortable
"Awesome Daypack" 04/22/11
Has just the right amount of space and water for a day hike. The bladded size is perfect for the trip and you can easily toss in your lunch, snacks, and even some additional gear. The pack is actually pretty water repellant when sprayed down with a DWR treatment. The only thing i would improve on it would be to add a second strap on it to keep it from bouncing when hopping down a path.
