I'm 6'2, 190 and ordered the large. The hoody is a great fit, but like other reviews, the sleeves are at least an inch long. It's almost like Arcteryx designed the sleeves to have thumb holes, but forgot to make that cut and stitch on the factory line. So, I'm like a little kid...I have my cuffs rolled back. For the price, the sleeves should either fit closer or have a thumb hole. Other than that, the hoody is great. The inner fabric is soft to the skin and the outer material is soft but smooth. The hood is thin, but warm. It would fit under a helmet, but would be tight over one. The collar, when zipped up, hits me right at chin height. I ordered the soapstone color and the photo was spot on. I like the logo placement, near the bottom of the left pocket making it inconspicuous. I've been using the hoody as a mid-layer with a Patagonia Capilene 3 under shirt and North Face 3-n-1 jacket out in the field this week and have been very comfortable. It's also been my nightly lounge hoody.
"Not your typical hoody; not your typical Arcteryx"
This hoody is great! I ordered the color that I'm affectionately dubbing "electric mustard", and I love it. Some have said the arms are a bit long, but if you're like me and often find your sleeves too short after a trip to the dryer, this hoody is perfect. I dig the understated style, and while it isn't a technical piece per se, it still reflects Arcteryx's attention to detail and great design ethic. If you want a piece for hitting the pub on a cool eve, give this a try. I'm 6'2" 190 and a large fits me great!
Great hoody for either outdoor use or around town. I ordered it for casual everyday wear since it's almost too nice (and costly) to abuse along with my other gear but I'm confident it'd hold up great in the backcountry as a mid-layer. Materials, construction and appearance is all top notch. I'm 5'10, 165 lbs and the medium fits me perfect like other relaxed fit Arc'teryx shirts and jackets.
