The Arc'teryx Women's Thorium AR Hoody is a lightweight mid-layer which offers maximum warmth and versatility while minimizing bulk. Synthetic and down insulation are strategically mapped in areas of need. 750-fill down warms your core while Coreloft synthetic is placed in moisture-prone areas (hem, collar, sleeves, underarms). This allows the Thorium AR to be extra weather-resistant and compressible. With its DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, it is capable of shedding some moisture on its own, or can be layered under a shell for maximum protection and warmth.

ARC'TERYX ATHLETIC FIT: The Arc'teryx Athletic Fit garments are considered their "standard" fit and feature complex patterns that utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion and eliminate any excess bulk. Athletic fit styles are trimmer than Arc'teryx relaxed fit styles, but still offer room for a base layer, a light fleece mid-layer, and a synthetic or down filled mid-layer. Put simply, their Athletic Fit should fit true to size, but be sure to check out the size guide to learn how to calculate your body measurements before selecting a size.

I was struggle between this and mountain hardware down jacket. their price are close, Arcteryx is a little bit expensive. At last, I bought the Arcteryx Thorium AR. My mum is 5'4'' and 128lb, size xs is a good fit. She is not outdoor fan, so this will be mostly worn in everyday. it is very warm, good enough for 40-50f with just a shirt or a thin sweater.
My boyfriend took me to the store to "window shop" one day and kept shoving different puff jackets at me to try on. . . a few weeks later I found a package in my dryer with this one in it. He wanted me to be warm for a trip we were taking in early November and I pretty much lived in this the entire 9 days, including sleeping in it a couple of nights. I have long arms and the sleeves are the perfect length. Also, it is cut a little longer in the back than the front which is also awesome. Great for belaying, breathable, and ultra warm. Works great as a stand alone jacket and fits nicely under a rain jacket in wet weather or under my snowboarding jacket on ultra cold days. It is also ridiculously packable and I love that the stuff sack is attached to the inside of the pocket because I lose everything. I highly recommend it.
