A friend of mine owns a ENO hammock and loves it. I loved it too but didn't want to spend the big bucks on it. I found this little gem and did some research. Others seemed to say that this hammock equally as good if not better, I would have to agree. I could not wait for it to arrive. Mine ended up being purple and black which was totally cool. I quickly set it up in the backyard and it was everything I was hoping for. It is great for two to sit in and to lay in (as long as you're okay extreme cuddling). For a single hammocker it is great to lay in. The large size allows for some cover, the walls are high enough to wrap over the top creating shade or protection from the darn mosquitoes. I have yet to spend a whole night in it, but I plan to on my next backpacking trip. Just lay a camp pad down in this baby and it will be good to go.
My brother and I both have one of these hammocks. What's awesome about the double is that even if you're forever alone (like me) you got room for days. If you're not forever alone (like my brother) you still have plenty of room. They set up quick, pack down nice, and appear to be nearly indestructible. You should buy one for your mom.
My girl friend got me this for my birthday! I love! It is very roomy and comfortable I love how when one person is in it you can rap your self up in it! I use this instead of my tent because it is easier to set up and more comfortable then sleeping in a tent.! I love how if you use a sleeping bad and a good sleeping bag and a rain fly to block sown and wind it can easy go the some parts of the winter!
Over the past 9 months I have used this hammock 30-40 times. It is very roomy and comfortable. I now use this instead of my tent because it is easier to set up and more comfortable then sleeping in a tent. I have even used it a few times between my college classes to get a nice nap. The only thing I can complain about is that the ties to set this up are not great but do work.
"Thick tie-downs, long vessel, doubles as tarp/rainfly because it's so large"
Used this hammock this past memorial day at a neighbors camp site--enjoyed how wide and comfortable it was, that I fell asleep in the darn thing without knowing it! That passed the test--plus it can handle 225lbs with ease! Bingo
