SPECIFICATIONS of the Keen Men's Newport H2 Sandal
If you're looking for a good (comfortable and looks good) pair of sandals then don't get fooled by Keens. Yeah they're durable but when it comes down to it I wish I would have bought Chaco's over my keens when I bought them. Buy Chaco's!
"Don't Buy Anything Else! For the Russell Crowe Spartan Kicking Outdoors Person"
Honestly for the longest time I believed the only people who could rock sandals were pretty ladies, Jesus and Russell Crowe in Gladiator. They are very comfortable almost like wearing slippers but extremely sturdy. The toe cover is great and protects you from bumps and bruises and stubbing your toe. The back strap does not cause heel blisters. These are also great for swimming, cliff jumping and Spartan kicking people into deep wells. Yes they are a bit expensive but worth every penny.
Runs a bit smaller (1/2 size) than my Keen Targee II mid hikers. Toe box is roomy. Ready to put them in the river this summer. Wear a men's 12 but since there is no half size hoping they stretch a little with use.
I wore these to the lake a number of times and they are great for those rocky shores when battling with jet skis and boats. The protection with the toe and sole are great and the strapping seems very durable and has held up well thus far. For my feet, it was comfortable right way, a good fit. I really needed a sandal I could wear at the lake where I need protection, comfort and durable... and so far, this has fit the bill nicely. Warning, they do leave funny tan lines! :)
nothing beats the Keen! i love these things. wear them to hike, anything in the water. they are gold. the traction is superb and the closed-toe makes them perfect. literally the go-to outdoor shoe for anything wet!
My husband wanted a pair of these when he saw our son wearing them. He finds them comfortable and stylish. He likes that they are closed toe and durable, not a flimsy flip flop like so many shoes are nowadays.
Great shoe! Tough as nails and comfortable too! Only gripe is that if you walk in sandy water, it it almost impossible to get the sand/pebbles/etc out of the shoe without taking them off. Also, I wish the material would dry a little quicker. Have wet feet all day sucks.
