When some guys were stealing their sister's pants to look cool, Kuhl was busy developing bad ass pants for the man who climbs mountains, fights bears, and definitely takes no crap from anyone. Made out of Tufflex, which is a durable woven stretch softshell with a soft brushed back for comfort. This incredible versatile fabric is lightweight, quick drying, wrinkle resistant, and has a UPF 50 sun protection rating, protecting you from those harsh UV rays. All Kuhl's Athletic Fit pants feature the Born Free Gusseted crotch, articulated knees, and generously cut thighs to create true unrestricted movement. The Renegade Pant is so comfortable you’ll think you are wearing sweatpants. You’re indeed wearing a pant that is comfortable climbing, hiking, and traveling the world. If you decide to go hiking or backpacking, there are plenty of pockets to store any gear you’ll require. Below the front hand pockets are zippered mesh pockets that will double as vents. With the KühlAir vent system you can reduce your skin temperature by venting through the mesh pockets, not to mention its ability to wick moisture all during activity and quick dry afterwards. So go ahead, shave with the tip of an axe, and build a convertible out of twigs and gum. But most of all...give your sister back her pants.

These pants have zero restriction. I climb every day for my job and these are the bomb. They are flexible enough for stretching, reaching, and my cohonies love them. I have a new favorite pants thanks Moosejaw. I am will be buying more and talking my budies into some also.
I'll be honest I am writing this for the points however these pants are boss. Not only are they incredible to wear in the mountains of Central Asia but also in Northern MN where I am from. They are very convenient for both basic mountaineering or extended hiking. They really are durable and very comfortable. Also they vent fairly well which is convenient because I can wear them for a long time. I'd highly recommend these to someone who is new to outdoors sports, does them recreationally, or is avid.
"Kuhl pants have become my all-time favorites."
I have purchased 4 different styles now (Renegade, Outrage, Liberator Convertible, and Revolvr), and like all of them very much. It seems I hardly wear anything else lately. All of the pants mentioned above have similar cut and features, but the different fabrics give them quite different characters. Here's a link to the Kuhl pants page, if you want to peruse the product details: http://www.kuhl.com/kuhl/mens/pants/revolvr/ The Revolvr and Outrage are both made from a cotton/nylon blend, but the Outrage is somewhat lighter weight, although both fabrics are rather light. The Renegade is nylon/spandex (did you know spandex was an anagram of expands?), and is the lightest and stretchiest of the styles I own. The Liberator is a heavier cotton/nylon blend, and is the only one I've owned for more than a few months, so far is it proving very durable. Honestly, these are all great pants! The design features, fabrics, and fit (I am 5'7, 130 lbs) make these my current go-to pants.
