After countless hikes experiencing that icky sweaty back sensation from wearing my pack I decided to try this lumbar pack. For shorter flat hikes it is perfect and I don't have that awful wet shirt problem. On longer hikes it can be a bit trickier. If you load it down and are hiking uphill it can really put some lumbar strain on you and cause lower back soreness. Overall I think this is a valuable item but may not be ideal in all situations. However avid outdoormen (and women) should give strong consideration to adding this to their outdoor gear collection.
This pack is perfect for a day hike. Plenty of room for water bottles and has two zippered pockets for storage...snacks, first aid kit and camera. Very comfortable straps no issues with it falling off or being uncomfortable.Great product and would definitely recommend this to purchase.Happy hiking.
I take this pack when I go on bird hikes. It holds my point and shoot camera, bird book, snacks, sunscreen, water bottle, cell phone, and keys with lots of room to spare. It also holds my 10x42 binoculars when they are not in use. This pack is nice because I can easily get to what I need in the bag without taking it off. Furthermore, when i'm not hiking it makes a good messenger bag because you can hide the waist belt in the back panel of the bag. Overall, I am very satisfied with this pack.
This was my hiking pack on a two week trip to Israel. It is the perfect size. Comfortable for the most part and it never got in the way during hiking or climbing. It fit 2-3 water bottles, snacks, some extra clothes, small first aid kit, sandals, and more random stuff. The neck strap did bother my neck sometimes toward the end of the day, but it's still great!
Used this as my day pack hiking in Israel for 2 weeks. I loved it. It's an awesome bag with just enough room for 2-3 water bottles, a pair of sandals, snacks, some first aid items, some extra clothing items, and other random stuff. Perfect size and fits nicely on your back while hiking. Never got in the way during adventure. The only downfall is that sometimes I couldn't even out the neck strap and the hip straps so the neck strap would start to hurt a little towards the end of the day. Still loved the bag, great buy!
