Preppy and stylish, and if you wanna fit in this is the jacket for you. The Patagonia Synchilla line is the new trend among teenagers and this jacket definitely fits that title. Id recommend getting a size larger just so you get the "baggy appearance". its a great jacket to wear to football games and other activities. 10/10
I really wanted to like this jacket. The blue with red trim looks just as good in person. The fit of the jacket though is terrible. I'm 5'8" 205 lbs with a muscular build. The fit in the chest and back was ok, the arm openings are so small and constricting (I have a 16" arm for reference) that once you get the jacket on you might as well keep it on forever.Another complaint is the interior of the sleeves are the fleece material which getting the jacket off is an ordeal and expect to pull out the insides of the sleeves when you get it off. Forget wearing anything other than a t shirt underneath. They needed to line it with nylon to make getting the arms in and out easier. Read the reviews on Patagonia's website and you will see this is a reoccurring problem. I was thinking of getting a XL but then the chest would be huge and sloppy. With some work this jacket would be awesome. And for 129$ it's expensive. LL Bean's Warm-Up Jacket is pretty much the same and only cost 80$
I own several synchilla products from Patagonia. I wore this item for the first time and was surprised on how warm this garment was. I would highly recommend this to anyone whom would dare to venture out in the season called winter. I have yet to test this in the wilderness but I can see this being very useful in any 3 season activity.
I'm not gonna have to buy another jacket for warmth or rain for years. I'm so happy with this guy that it sits right by the door for every time I go out into that rainy PNW weather. the neck isn't lined, but I feel like it would get too hot if it was. I use this running errands, and I'm excited to see how it does when I hop on ski's next month. super warm, super water resistant.
I bought this jacket to replace an old shell jacket and I expected to just rock my hoodie under it. No need for a hoodie, no need for my heavy coat, this jacket is perfect. Very first night I got it, strait outta the box! (The best box I've ever had sent to me BTDubbs) in the car, parking ramp, bar, walking the streets in the winter wind, into the other bar, and back out to wherever, I think it even helped me hail a cab. Point is that this jacket will exceed every expectation you have.
Went with the xl in this jacket and it's a great fit with several layers underneath. Have used this as an intermediate jacket for days in the mid to upper 30F-45F degree range and it works exceptioanlly well for that. Water sheds off well and it's fairly wind proof as well.
