The Patagonia Women's Retro-X Jacket has a breathable and windproof barrier sandwiched between cozy Synchilla fleece on the outside, and a polyester brushed mesh lining on the inside. Supplex nylon panels down the sides and under the sleeves reduce bulk and provide a slim fit with a minimal weight of only 17.7 oz. This Patagonia perennial favorite blends classic styling with some great features - pretty awesome. The Retro-X jacket has a fleece-lined collar, protective wind flaps, and two zippered hand-warmer pockets to keep digits toasty. My GF really liked the Retro-X fleece. But now she's my X-GF after that other dude came into the picture. Home wrecker, totally broke the bro-code.

"A Must Have!" 01/25/12
I absolutely love this coat! It's the warmest coat I own at least for the upper body. The wind proof barrier is great and actually keeps you nice and toasty (much better than the mountain hardware and north face denali version of this coat) I ordered a medium (I'm almost 5'7 and 120 lb) even though I usually wear a small in Patagoina because this jacket seems to run a little small and I sometimes like to layer. If you're on the fence with this one get it!
"Warm and comfortable but slim fit" 01/25/12
This is definately a good jacket to have when you want more than the traditional fleece. The only issue I have was the fit. I am typically between a small and a medium at 5'8'' so when they said it was a slim fit product I knew I definately should get the medium. Had I tried it on I probably would have ordered a large so that I could fit sweaters under it comfortably but once I knew that the large was sold out and I decided to keep the medium. It is perfect for fall and spring in Ohio where temperatures have a wide range and you never know when you will need a warm jacket. Look forward to more patagonia and moosejaw purchase to come!
"Love this jacket! Very warm and versatile!" 01/24/12
This jacket is wonderful! I have had it for a couple of years now, and consistently wear it every season! It is very warm, and I tend to only wear a light sweater/shirt under it because it seems to be sufficient in 30-40 degree weather. It fits true to size and I find that it may be warmer to order a size down for a more snug fit. Great, stylish jacket!
"One season not several" 01/15/12
Although I enjoy the features that this jacket offers (great for layering, breathable, and cute) I found it to not durable and unflattering. After one year of infrequent use the textured material started to become permanently compressed in the elbows and forever creased else where. Although the product literally lasted (still in one piece) its appearance has not. Beware, it runs a bit small! If you are debating between sizes always get the larger one you wouldn't regret it. If you are looking for a one season product this would be hit but not for several.
"Solid Layer" 12/27/11
After reading the reviews of this jacket, I expected an outstanding coat that was durable and windproof. When I recieved the jacket, I was a bit dissapointed. It is definitely more of a slim fit. I weight 118 poounds and am petite (5'1). I ordered the medium, and it fit well but it was somewhat constricting and not as flexible as my northface denali jacket. I decided to keep the jacket and it has been great against the wind. I've found myself grabbing for it when I need something lighter than my northface metropolis parka. I would recommend this jacket for layering as it does a great job of that, but be careful what size you order!
"LOVE this jacket!" 11/11/11
Okay, so Patagonia has never disappointed me and I have always been pleased, but this has far surpassed my expectations. I am in love! This is one of the sturdiest, yet softest jackets yet. This one will last years. It is a little stiffer than some of the other Patagonia jackets I own, but that is because the lining helps hold its shape. I normally wear a size 2 and an extra small. I chose to order a small in this jacket and I am happy that I did. I am able to layer without any trouble. I purchased this mainly for outdoor family adventures, but am glad to know I can use it for something a little more "bad ass" when I am able to get a babysitter!
"Great fit, warm and windproof!" 11/06/11
Great jacket - comfy, warm, and I love the fit. Slim, but with enough room for a light sweater underneath. I live in NYC and the streets are like wind tunnels in the winter, so windproof fleece is my go to. This jacket is perfect. It is a little stiff, and the interior isn't as soft as some fleeces, but even with very sensitive skin I can wear this jacket over a short sleeve tee and be perfectly comfortable. I highly recommend it!
"This jacket rocks!" 06/06/11
I have 2 of these jackets, it is windproof and awesome! Like others said, it isn't the most cozy jacket on the inside, but i usually wear other warm comfy jackets on the inside and use it for the windproof benefit! But over all, nice jacket :)
"Warm, stylish....but kinda uncomfortable" 03/24/11
Girlfriend looked for a patagonia fleece for months because she liked the style of their jackets. This was the 4th jacket she settled on because other designs didn't fit (arms way too long comparatively). This one fit well and is nice and toasty but she doesn't enjoy how stiff the jacket is and was disappointed in the lack of softness.
