"Not exactly what I thought it would be."
I thought this would be a lighter version of Patagonia's Re-Tool Snap-T Pullover. I have two of them, and once I finally purchased the right size, they fit amazing. The lightweight, "Synchilla" Snap-T fits a lot different. Aside from it being a looser fitting garment overall, the waist of this jacket is constructed with elastic, making is similar to the bungees used to cinch up the waist on a fleece jacket or sweatshirt. This is completely different from the waist of the original Snap-T. That one falls loose at your hips and fits more more like a traditional fleece pull-over. I ordered a bunch of these at once and was super disappointed once I tried them on. Beautiful garments overall, it's just that the elastic-style waist is not what I was looking for.
I have been eyeing this pullover forever and I finally worked up the courage to order it, and boy, am I glad I did! It has surpassed all of my expectations and I could not be more pleased with it! It is super, super soft and very warm. An added bonus that I did not expect is that it cuts the wind surprisingly well, it is not a windbreaker though so don't get your hopes up. I was nervous that it wouldn't be thick enough because it is called a Lightweight, but it is perfectly thick and has a nice weight to it. My friends think it looks vintage, which I am very happy about and they say I look hip. I'm totally okay with that! The only possible negative is that after a few wearings, the fleece looks a bit worn, but duh, you have been wearing it... Overall, it is a perfect pullover and you will be very pleased with it.
I had been looking at buying a Patagonia Snap-T for a while. I was in a time crunch and wanted to get it before I went on a camping trip, so when I saw it on Moosejaw with the 2-day ShopRunner shipping, I had to grab it. I ordered the Nickel/Purple version, and it is such a nice fleece material and kept me warm during the 40 degree nights when I was camping. It is a little thinner than I was expecting, but it's great for fall days and will be nice for layering under a jacket in the winter. The collar keeps your neck warm, and the details like the lining and the buttons are so cute! Definitely would recommend this to anyone seeking a good, high-quality casual/outdoorsy sweater.
"Extremely comfortable, durable, and did I say comfortable????"
This Lightweight Synchilla Patagonia item is absolutely fabulous. I actually have one Patagonia pullover already and I needed one in a different color. I really need one in EVERY COLOR OFFERED. Maybe with all of the unique Moosejaw points available I can start that process!!!!!!! I had the re-tool sweat which is not as light weight as this synchilla style and has a different look to the material. I ordered an XL (which was my size in the re-tool) and recieved the synchilla quickly realizing it runs a bit larger than the re-tool style sweats! So I am now patiently waiting for my size L synchilla which I know will arrive soon just as my first purchase did! These Patagonia pullovers are amazing and easy to dress up or down! Just remember the re-tool snap sweat runs a bit small and the synchilla is more true to size.
