The Prana Men's Stretch Zion Short is a nylon hiking short for exploring the outdoors. The fabric is 97% nylon and 3% spandex, allowing you to move without restriction to the next mile marker. The heat of summer can have you sweating profusely along the way, but the Stretch Zion combats this by wicking moisture away from your skin and drying quickly. The inseam gusset is ventilated to keep you cool and simultaneously providing space. The twelve inch inseam (size medium) stops at the knee for comfort throughout an active summer. An internal belt cinches at the waist and stays out of the way of your harness on a climbing day. The multiple pockets allow you to carry the essentials, so you can ditch the pack on quick hikes. Just don't forget the water.

SPECIFICATIONS of the Prana Men's Stretch Zion Short
I don't often wear shorts, but when I do, I wear these. The Zion shorts are perfect from everyday and travel. They can double as a swimsuit and have a zippered security pocket. They pack very flat vs. bulky cotton cargo shorts. The built belt is very handy, especially when using the shorts for swimming. Flattering fit as well.
If you own anything from Prana you are probably of the opinion they make quality product, I would agree. These shorts stretch good, they have a nice extra pocket on the leg (although I'm afraid something will fall out of it if I left the side zipper on it open). The built in belt hasn't slipped on me at all and keeps my pantalones right where I need them. If I'm climbing in the sun and my wife has done the laundry, I have these on.Con: Pricey, but not that pricey for the product you get, if you have the $$$
These shorts have just the right amount of stretch to be a versatile garment for climbing and other outdoor activities. They are truly comfortable and I've found myself wearing them on a daily basis besides for outdoor adventures. The side zip pockets allow you to keep secure your wallet/phone or whatever is needed. These are a little pricey for shorts, but I will still buy another pair when these shorts finally disintegrate from being worn so much.
I got these shorts a couple weeks ago, and I must say they are by far my favorite shorts to date. They are pretty durable having withstood some pretty intense wear and tear and coming out virtually unscathed. They are lightweight and pretty quick drying. While the size I ordered was slightly large for me the built in belt easily cinches the shorts to the right size. As Lenard would say, "I recommend these shorts."
"Awesome shorts, to bad they're priced so high."
I was lucky enough to find a pair of these in the grey color on sale and bought them. Not disapointed, they are everything all the great reviews say they are. Great fit, nice stretch, breathable, and stylish. So far they seem to be pretty durable also. I like these so much I just purchased the brown color at full price. I'm 5'10, 175lbs with a 32in waist and the medium fits perfect. The short hits right at or slightly below the knee. I just wish they were a little cheaper.
bought these after my first trip to the red, from which i destroyed my knees climbing. these things are great, perfect for climbing in or just walking around since they are so comfy, and stretch pretty good when climbing.
"When your body can only go so far, these shorts will go one step further"
These shorts are great! They are extremely durable shorts that can pretty much be put through anything. These shorts are crazy breathable and light, but still extremely tough. Awesome to hike in, but also plenty nice enough to wear on a daily basis. On top of everything else they are really comfortable and stylish. I have two pairs and am ready to buy more!
"Great quality & feel, but "tent pole" big time"
I've had a pair of these for a while and love them so I ordered a couple more. The second pair I bought "tent pole" big time even though I can't see any difference in cut or construction from the first. I'm hoping the third pair (still in the mail) fit and wear like the first ones which are superb, but I'll be sending these back. Can't pick my daughter up at grade school wearing these or I'll get arrested.
I originally bought the previous year's model from somewhere else. It became my favorite pair of shorts to climb in and everything. So I had no qualms with picking up this year's version. However, it seems a bit different. The material is softer, but still strong. But the really big issue I have is that this year's model fits me just a bit bigger. I don't know if I just happen to have gotten one that was made incorrectly to size, or if they decided to give more room for us guys. I was tempted to return it, but since I love the stretch Zion so much, I decided to keep it anyway just so I can have a backup pair.
