I've been an Asolo fan when it comes to boots, but I can see why Backpacker magazine ranked these boots so high. Very breathable for a Goretex boot, minimal break-in period, felt great on my wide foot from the start. Adjustable all the way to the toebox and when cinched down, my heel doesn't slip. Not one hotspot yet after several hikes with and without a load. My old Asolo boots were dying, these boots were good looking boots and praised by Backpacker magazine, so I took the plunge and bought 'em - no regrets!
I've had these boots for a few months now and have put around 85 miles on them. They are holding up extremely well so far. Possibly the most comfortable pair of shoes I own, like hugs for your feet. The tread is super aggressive and gives great footing in just about any condition.
