"Sweet watch. Lightweight"  04/08/12

This watch is light but not so light that it feels cheap. The functions are easy to use, and the display (I have the all black version) is pretty sharp looking. The rubber strap is very comfortable to wear and I hardly notice I have it on all day. The only issue is the temperature gauge, which shows about 10 degrees warmer than it actually is because of how close it is to your body.Plus my girlfriend thinks that it's sexy

"Great!"  03/05/12

Watch look great and have many useful functions for mountain tourist! I tried it on the backcountry, now is not so boring to go up all day, every five minutes, I looked at the altimeter)).

"Don't wear it crack climbing, good for everything else."  01/18/12

The one thing that I wish was different about this watch was that the black on the outer ring didn't scratch off to reveal silver. However, it does not scratch easily. I just made the mistake of not taking it off before going crack climbing, so it got scratched up a little bit from hand jams. Other than that, all good. Very scratch resistant face. Comfy band. I even bought an orange band from Suunto so I can swap it out for a different look. This is my everyday watch and I get plenty of compliments about it.

"Great watch, but expensive. There are good economical options out there"  01/10/12

Lots of reviews on this watch, so I won't get into the details. But for me, I think the price is a bit steep. After trying out several different options over the course of a few months, I landed on the Highgear Altis. Less than half the price and relatively comparable features.

"Out-Freaking-Standing"  11/17/11

I bought this for my fiance for his birthday and he is obsessed with it! He got the Military Gunmetal black version. The watch does exactly as advertised, it replaces luck. Display is large and easy to read. Menus, although vast, are easy to navigate. It has all the functionality anyone would need in an outdoor watch. It lives up to Suunto's name of "wrist computer" and can replace numerous expensive devices.

"I bought this watch for my husband and he loves it!!!"  11/01/11

I bought this watch for my husband as an early Christmas present. I ended up getting him the brown leather strap with aluminum case and it was a little pricey at $500 bucks but looks so awesome with just about anything. He really likes the altimiter and built in compass. This was is full of features and looks just as good as any high-end watch you can compare it to which is the reason he chose this over the Casio pathfinder. It is extremely tough and functional with just the right style so it doesn't look like a kids watch. The only thing that has happened to the watch thus far is a small dent about 2cm long on the bezel but other than that it's just as good as new. Buy it!

"Awesome watch for the mountains"  10/05/11

Very handy when hiking around the mountains as it accurately records your elevation changes as you go. The compass tool can also be helpful, and I'm excited to try out the depth gauge when I hit the coast. All in all a very solid watch and it just makes daily activities much more fun when you can record stats like elevation!

"Awesome outdoor watch"  08/28/11

I bought this watch almost one year ago. The functions are brilliant. The altimeter, the barometer and the depth meter are working well. I haven't used the compass too much yet because I usually have my outdoor GPS with me to navigate. But it became handy checking the direction I was going several times. The thermometer is also a nice feature but you have to remember to take off the watch for a while, because your body will obviously alter the temperature reading. If you have to use bug spray: Take the watch off before using the bug spray. The wrist band does not like 40% deet... (like most products made of plastic/rubber). FYI, the wrist band did not break. But it has some spots on it.LTM

"I really enjoy this watch"  08/20/11

I like large watches so this one works out well for me. I dont really use the barometer all that much or the storm alarm. The compass is a neat feature. The watch build quality is good. I am an active hiker, runner, and swimmer. All my timing needs are met by this lil guy.

"For the money the watch is good"  08/17/11

I use this watch for snowboarding and it worked good. My only complaint was that the glass on the watch is not very tough. I have a giant scratch in the watch from bumping it on the counter at home. Also, the negative (black face) watch looks cool, but it is extremely hard to read. I even turned up the brightness in the settings and it got better but it was still hard to see when outside in the sun. The positive face is much easier to read.

"good, but slightly uncomfy"  08/04/11

they should redesign the watch back, its curved and can hurt the wrist after extended wear

"NOT Reliable"  06/13/11

Beware - this watch eats five dollar batteries like candy and after a few months of pretty routine use the lower right button (ie the CRUCIAL one required to change modes, set the time etc) became very finicky - 99% of the time the press would not register. Coupled with the crappy battery life meant even after I had given up on switching functions and settled on using it only as a watch, it was excruciating just resetting the time when the battery died. Finally the button stopped working altogether and I retired it. Do yourself a favor and find the giant stack of one star reviews before you throw down hard earned money on this clunker.
