"Extremely warm"  11/26/11

The best bag I have ever had. This bag is so light, packs very small and is super warm. I would even use it in temps colder than 20 degrees.

"Cat’s Meow, don’t really like the name, but the bag WORKS!"  09/30/11

This is an all around great bag, kept me warm on a 30-40 degree night with no problems! The zipper has a pretty cool glow feature, helps get out in the middle of the night, and even though it snagged on the bag, it did not rip, so the material seems pretty tough! My only grip is with the included stuff sack, and although it is included for “free,” it has some faults. Mainly with only having 3 compression straps, it makes the bag an awkward shape when compressed, so I will probably buy a new compression bag, other than that, it was worth the money!

"Great Value and Great Bag"  09/20/11

This is my first bag and my GF and I did a five day in the Smokies. It got down to be relatively cold a couple nights, especially when it rained, and I was fine. At one point I had to open it up b/c my GF was getting cold. I would recommend this bag to anyone.

"MY SOUTHERN AT BAG"  08/15/11

It's been a remarkably warm bag for me at only 20 degrees. I've pushed this to a 4 degree night and it held up like a champ. It's a very good synthetic bag and is priced beautifully. It can attract moisture i've noticed however if your rainfly system doesn't allow for proper ventilation but that's mostly my own ignorance. GREAT BUY

"Worked out great so far!"  08/09/11

This sleeping bag is quite the great buy! While not to expensive like many other bags it is perfectly priced, great for summer camping or early fall camping. Also, for traveling it rolls up into a small sack that is pretty light weight... Only trouble is it takes a little time and patience to get it rolled up small, but it is doable!

"Great starter bag"  08/08/11

The Cat's Meow is a great sleeping bag and is reasonably priced if you are just getting into camping, overall, if you're buying your first bag, this is definitely the way to go. I used this bag on a 15 degree overnight low trip and I was freezing all night - this was partly my fault as it was little too cold for this bag, but I thought it would be ok. If you camp somewhere where the temperatures drop fairly low on a regular basis, then I'd definitely invest in a warmer bag. But, I live in Texas, and it doesn't get that cold here that often and this bag suffices most of the time.

"light synthetic and warm"  07/27/11

I bought this after going backpacking and being hit by snow without expecting it (we checked the forecast) I had brought my 40F bag with liner figuring it would be enough. I was glad I had brought the 40F bag because it was light; but at night I regretted it. It was really cold in the 40F bag. After that trip I bought this bag and went on another trip. No liner, just stuffed it in the bag and went on my way. It is very warm and very comfortable. The only complaint I have is around the foot area. I had read (and a friend that has one told me) that it tends to get damp at the feet area. I experienced it myself, but it wasn't a big deal.

"Not a 20 degree bag, treat it as a 30 degree bag"  05/31/11

This sleeping bag is very light compared to other 20 degree bags. In fact is seems to be half to one pound light. This might help explain why I in temps in the 30s I usually have to use a liner and or wear clothing in order to not wake up cold in the middle of the night. While the specs say that it is tested to EN 13537, the comfort limit and lower limit are not listed. The North Face site does not list these details either. My recommendation would be to treat this as a 30 degree bag, at least.

"Great value"  05/05/11

I just spent 2 nights in the Black River State Forest, Wisconsin. I took the Cat's Meow out for the first time, expecting to be disappointed with all the complaints about temperature rating. Most of the night was around 32F, but around 3am it dropped to 26F. The humidity was 100% most of the night (didn't find this out until I got home). I was comfortable all night, only felt slightly cold when I woke around 4am.For $100-130 this is a great deal for anyone. It's comfortable and kept me warm when I expected it to. They only downfall I noticed was how it was more restrictive with movement. I like to stretch a little more then it allowed. That may be another synthetic vs. down issue.

"Great Bag"  04/24/11

This bag is great for cold nights. one of the things i love most about this bag is that the zipper doesnt snag. unlike most bags, this ones 20 degree limit is true. i have been backpacking when it got into the teens and i was cozzy and snug. awesome sleeping bag!

"very form, keeps you dry"  04/24/11

dear fellow customer, I noticed that you are looking for a sleeping bag, well congratulations you have found this bag. Not only will this bag keep you warm (with a liner if under 30 degrees)but it will also keep you dry! I was sleeping under the clouds for my ordeal weekend for Boy scouts of america's order of the arrow, when suddenly the clouds collected too much water vapor and rained down. My loosely wrapped tarp wasn't enough for this. when our leaders told us to pack up our sleeping bags, I crawled outa my bag and the outside was soaked, but I was warm and toasty.

"Great bag for cold nights."  03/30/11

This is one warm bag. I've slept in it comfortably at 30 degrees. It's not noisy to move around in and the pocket near the hood is a great place to keep a cell phone as an alarm. With a compression bag, it packs just small enough to fit in the bottom compartment of my pack.
