Bought this jacket to travel, it was a nice piece of fashion on the plane and kept me warm when everyone else needed a blanket on a 14 hr flight! This Rain Blocker/Wind Breaker is a must have when you travel or when weather started to get a little chilly or when there's this sudden attack of rain!
I bought this jacket for a recent trip to London, where I knew I'd need something waterproof. It did its job! I do have other NF products, but I needed something that would be light and waterproof as I was in the UK during the month of early September. It kept the water out, as well as being breathable during the warm moments. I would definitely recommend or buy again myself.
The North Face Men's Resolve Jacket is light and comfortable. I also have a venture jacket by the north face and I think the venture is lighter and better water resistant. Besides, the design of the cuff of a sleeve is not as good as the venture one. It's a good jacket but the venture is better!!!
I sail on Lake Michigan and have learned to always dress in layers. This jacket is a perfect addition for over a sweater. It also has a nice high collar (that stores the folded rain hood) so it's great for keeping the rain and wind out. Should be in everyone's outdoor bag.
Ordered one each for myself and my bride. These good-looking, lightweight jackets arrived yesterday, during our windy, 40F day, complete with snow flurries. We wore them outside a bit and they kept out the icy wind. By themselves, the jackets will probably be good in warmer weather; but yesterday we each required extra layers beneath the jackets to stay warm enough. Therefore, we would recommend buyers consider up-sizing for comfort if they hope to extend the wearing season by layering-up beneath the jacket. The flaps over the zippers will probably help keep out rain; but their presence also makes it pretty easy to catch fabric in the zipper, which I did the first time I tried to zip up. Shouldn't be a problem as long as we're careful. The jackets seem well-designed and well-made, though I would have included velcro wrist straps, since the elastic wristbands will likely stretch out eventually. Could still add them. We like these nice jackets. So far, they're just right.
