The jacket is light weight, fits well. Whatever little I tested it, it does not give a feeling of warmth inside. The exterior shell appears like a raincoat.I'm thinking of returning it for vortex triclimate.
This is probably the thinnest winter jacket I've owned (which worries me), but it has held up so far in 38 degree NYC weather. Will report once one the cold weather really comes in! I ordered a size Small and the inner thermoball jacket is a fantastic fit for me (I'm 5'6" 155 pounds), but the other jacket is on the big end. Would have preferred a little more snug fit!
This jacket is fantastic. It's really warm, ultra light at 1 lb, water and windproof and is really functional. The jacket is well made and uses some cutting edge technology in the fabrics they used. The thermoball inner jacket is really warm and looks pretty cool on it's own. Perfect for a nice fall day. The cube pattern stitching on the outside of this jacket looks great. There are small pieces of material with a button on the end of each sleeve that are fed into a loop in the outer shell to keep the sleeves in place when wearing both jackets as 1.The outter shell reminds me of a tent. The inside feels like rubber and all of the seams are tapped closed like a tent. The outside looks great and has an interwoven stitching that blends grey and black. There are zippered under both arm pits in case you're doing something active and want to avoid over heating.I stayed warm and dry when I wore this in the November rain the other day.
